The Freudian Slip

April 2011 but it sure felt like Christmas. I’d come back from the SLN beurs with my shiny new digital track and laid out this beauty.

It’s an example of the fun you can have with digital. Imagine putting a car on the outside lane, top right. 2 laps later you’re on the inside lane. Cool!

The eagle eyed will notice that the corner lane change is flipped in the track plan below. It now goes in-to-out. In the photo, once you’ve reached the inside lane there’s no going back! But of course nobody is going to take that lane change, in-to-out is the opposite of the racing line. Ah the fun you can have with digital 😂

Neither my father nor brother-in-law were interested in doing a few laps with me. Perhaps my digital journey was cursed from the start.
